Last night while driving out to Simpsons Gap we could see the thunder heads of a summer storm in the desert. The rain it may have produced certainly never reached us so we remain stuck in the sticky heat of humidity in the desert. It is nice that the desert is so green at the moment, but honestly a little respite would be great!

One of Broome’s many amazing natural features and experiences is the Staircase to the Moon, where the full moon raises over the mudflats of Roebuck Bay at low tide. I was lucky enough to be in town for one of the lowest tides, with a rather large moon and can I just say, these photos just don’t do it justice. This spectacle is amazing. It is spectacular. See it!
Working hard again. Honestly the road was closed due to bushfires so we just had to stop for a break before turning around and driving 200km back the way we’d come! Oh and I rode a camel this week as well…
